I just recently heard about Andrew Bird and starting listening to him, but everything I have heard from him I have liked thus far. He is a talented guitarist and violinist, and creates many interesting textures and layers with his violin by looping and using effects. This is the latest EP he released and it is a good start to see his range as a musician.

Panda Bear is the solo project of Noah Lennox, who is one of the founding members of the experimental rock group Animal Collective. This album is chalked full of amazing melodies, psychadelic backdrops, and just some amazing overall production. You're not really going to want to throw this on when you're having a party, but instead when you're hanging out alone and want a deep and atmospheric listen. My favorite headphones album of 2007! Folk music on acid.
